Helping Keep Kids Warm this season: Join R.O.T.O. NATION's Winter Coat Drive Today

As winter approaches and temperatures plunge, many children in our community will struggle to stay warm. It's a reality that no child should face alone. That's why R.O.T.O. NATION's Winter Coat Drive is crucial. We aim to collect new or gently used coats for kids aged 5 to 18, along with gloves, hats, and scarves. Together, we can change lives and ensure every child remains cozy this winter.

Why a Coat Drive Matters

Each winter, thousands of children struggle in our community due to inadequate winter clothing. In fact, studies show that 1 in 5 children live in poverty, making it difficult for families to afford basic necessities like a warm coat. This reality hit home for me during my time volunteering at a local shelter. I met Alex, a young boy wearing a coat two sizes too small. With winter temperatures often dropping below freezing, it's hard to imagine a child enduring the cold without adequate clothing.

Every donation to R.O.T.O. NATION’s Winter Coat Drive directly addresses this issue. By giving just one coat, you can provide warmth and comfort to a child in need.

Collection Dates

Mark your calendars! The collection runs from September 2nd to November 1st. This timeframe allows everyone ample opportunity to gather their donations and spread the word. Many people have coats they don’t use anymore. Perhaps a coat your child outgrew or one that sits unused in the closet? Your donation can provide much-needed warmth.

The Impact of Your Donation

Each coat, hat, and pair of gloves collected goes directly to children who desperately need them in our local area. It’s more than just providing warmth; it’s about sending a message of care and support.

When I volunteered at the shelter, I witnessed the gratitude on families' faces when receiving help. It was clear that the donations went beyond physical items; they signified love and belonging. Every contribution strengthens our community, proving that we can uplift those around us.
